This group aims to investigate phenomena and processes involved in the relationship between behaviour and health, focusing especially on topics relevant to analytical-behavioural therapy. The investigations are specifically aimed at the functional analysis of behaviours and the sub-products of coercion, especially: anxiety, depression and stress. The Group's mission is to investigate and disseminate concepts, techniques and technologies for the production and promotion of health in the Brazilian reality. Its vision is to be recognized as a permanent unit of learning, production and diffusion of knowledge and technologies in BA, more specifically in Analytical-Behavioral Therapy, being seen as a reference in the production of basic and applied research on behavior and emotional collateral in chronic health conditions (eg chronic pain, chronic mental disorders, diabetes, hypertension, among others). To this end, projects are developed considering five different research lines, namely: 1) Conceptual Investigations in Behavior Analysis and Behavioral Therapy; 2) Basic processes & investigation of behaviour: scrutiny of contingencies in force for coercive control and emotion in humans and animals; 3) Verbal Behavior & Control behavioral analysis; 4) Efficacy and efficiency in the evaluation and intervention in Analytical-Behavioral Therapy; and, 5) Health promotion and prevention: investigating adherence to treatment, quality of life and protection factors of chronic diseases.
